Giaffone larga em 8o amanhã em Richmond Jacques Lazier faz a pole e surpreendentemente Sarah Fisher completa a primeira fila

"Aconteceu o inacreditável e a equipe conseguiu fazer o mais difícil. Um carro que estava voando nos treinos livres, saía de frente na classificação me tirando a chance de fazer a pole", reclama Felipe Giaffone, da equipe Hollywood Treadway que ficou na 8a posição do grid para o GP de Richmond, amanhã (sábado) às 21 horas, com o tempo de 17seg.078. O inconformismo de Giaffone diante do surpreendente 8o lugar é evidente, pois o piloto esteve entre os quatro melhores em todos os treinos antes do qualifying.

Mas as surpresas em Richmond não se restringiram à Giaffone. Lá na frente, a pole ficou com Jacques Lazier, o irmão de Buddy (vencedor em Pikes Peak), com 16seg..831. Completando a primeira fila, a piloto da Walker Racing, Sarah Fisher, voou baixo e cravou 16seg.886. Sarah mostrou que está completamente refeita do leve acidente que sofreu no treino livre de ontem (sexta). Já o outro brasileiro, Airton Daré, foi o 5o colocado com 17seg.005.

O qualifying teve um atraso de duas horas e meia devido à chuva que caiu no treino da manhã e ao acidente com Greg Ray (sem gravidade) que o impediu de participar da corrida de amanhã.

Para a corrida, Giaffone confia no ótimo acerto que a equipe conseguiu para o carro de tanque cheio. "Vai ser muito difícil a ultrapassagem, mas confio no trabalho de pitstop da equipe e acredito que algumas confusões vão acontecer entre os carros que largam à minha frente. Passar nesta pista estreita vai ser complicado, mas posso ganhar posições nos pits", acredita o piloto da Hollywood Treadway.
