Giaffone faz melhor tempo no primeiro treino livre Piloto da Hollywood Treadway domina amplamente sessão de uma hora

Não teve para ninguém. Pelo menos no primeiro treino livre para o GP de Richmond _ 7a etapa da IRL, sábado às 21 horas _ o piloto Felipe Giaffone foi o único dos 21 que entraram na pista a fazer um tempo abaixo de 17 segundos e uma velocidade média de 160 milhas por hora (ou 257.44 km/h). Com o tempo de 16seg.874 o piloto da Hollywood Treadway foi quase três décimos mais rápido do que o segundo colocado no oval de 0.75 milha. "Ainda não dá para dizer se vou ser o mais rápido o final de semana todo, mas sem dúvida este treino me animou. Hoje vejo que valeu a pena todo aquele estresse do mês de maio, quando saímos de Indianápolis para treinar aqui. O carro está quase perfeito para esta pista; ainda sai um pouco de frente", revela Giaffone. Debaixo de um calor infernal, o piloto brasileiro dominou a sessão desde a sua Quinta volta (deu 59 ao todo), mas mesmo assim está alerta para uma possível melhora dos adversários. "Muitos ainda vão melhorar, mas o que fiz hoje já me permite sonhar com a pole. Não tem como não dizer que este foi o melhor treino que já fiz na IRL", admite.
