"The Target team's pretty disappointed really. We worked hard this week, were up there with the best times and today wasn't quite what we expected but we put the car in the show and that really is what counts. Toyota will work on a good race engine for us and we will work on the race car set up. We did the best we could today but I know we'll be better in the race."

#10 Darren Manning- Toyota / G-Force /Firestone

"It certainly was a big crazy day for my first Pole Day experience. The warm up didn't quite go as planned, as we had some electrical issues that necessitated an engine change to be safe, setting us back a bit and sacrificing our position in the qualifying line. On my first attempt I had a bit of a moment in turn one and decided to wave it off and try it again. It was pretty intense to feel the pressure mount as the time left ticked away. We just got in our last attempt but it didn't go as well as I had hoped. It was an experience but now we're that much more motivated to be perfect for the race."
