Meira and Matsuura Finish Inside Top 12 During First Day of Practice

LEXINGTON, Ohio. -- (July 20, 2007) - Panther Racing drivers Vitor Meira and Kosuke Matsuura both finished inside the Top 12 during the first full day of practice for the Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio.

Vitor Meira #4 Delphi Panther Racing

"I'm happy with the day. We made a lot of progress from the first session to the second, and that's the best you can do. You know the team is good when you're able to consistently make improvements. The Delphi car was good and I'm getting much better the more time I spend in the car."

Kosuke Matsuura #55 Panasonic Panther Racing

"We found some things today that helped us out in the Panasonic car. Our test here a month ago was quite bad so it's nice to make big improvements. We struggled a bit today but Vitor kept getting better and better, so I think tomorrow will be our day."
