Dreyer & Reinbold's Racing's Sarah Fisher pulled out the best performance of the G Force runners in today's qualifying at Nashville for the Firestone Indy 200 .
Her speed of 202.649mph just outpaced Mo Nunn Racing's Felipe Giaffone who was only marginally slower at 202.645mph.
Fisher was joined in the top ten by team-mate Robbie Buhl who qualified 10th fastest.
"I'm quite pleased with our qualifying run," Fisher said.
"We're making great strides together as a team after only two races together, and we've kicked it up a few notches in the process.
"There are two different challenges to this track:One of them is that there are two different corners that you have to be sure and sort out, and the second challenge is that the surface is kind of glossy.
Buhl was equally as pleased with his G Force chassis on the Nashville tri-oval.
"We're real happy with the car," Buhl said.
"We missed the first 45-minute practice session this morning with fuel-pump problems, but the car was good, stuck solid in fact, maybe stuck a little too well.
"We're just working to trim the car out and maintain the good drivability for the race." Other driver's equipped with the G Force chassis for tomorrow's race include Jeff Ward (18th) and George Mack (21st)
"Nashville is a slightly shorter oval with higher banking that what we have run in recent weeks and the minimum 12 degree wing angle used this weekend will be an advantage for for the G Force runners," G Force's John Biddlecombe said.
"This is the same wing angle used at Homestead which gave us a very good car in raceconditions.
"Sarah did a great job today and I am sure our cars will be very strong under lights tomorrow."
Tomorrow's race kicks off at 7.30pm and will be broadcast by ESPN2.
Part of Don Panoz's Elan Motorsport Technologies organization, the G Force headquarters in Georgia features full in-house design, fabrication, machining and composite construction facilities.
The largest manufacturer of racing cars in the world, the Elan group includes G Force, Formula Ford expert Van Dieman, leading American Le Mans Series team Panoz Motor Sports and specialist services companies Elan Power Products, Elan Precision and Elan Composites.
