Bryan Herta on the Honda Indy 225:

"The XM Satellite Radio team is back running strong again. Even though we didn't finish at Kentucky, I feel like we had a strong car there, so we're looking to continue that at Pikes Peak. With our most recent DNF, for me it's now more about getting race wins than it is points, so I'm going to Pikes Peak with that goal in mind."

Bryan Herta Facts

This will be Herta's second trip to Pikes Peak in the IndyCar Series. He finished ninth in 2004.

At the Firestone Indy 400 at Michigan International Speedway (July 31), Herta started on the pole, led 159 of 200 laps and earned his second career IndyCar Series win.

Herta is in seventh place in the IndyCar Series points championship. He is 13 points out of sixth place and 23 points from the fifth spot.

Herta is the 22nd different driver to win two or more races in IndyCar Series history.

Herta recorded a third-place finish at the 2005 Indianapolis 500, his best finish at the famed track. Since his first IndyCar Series race in 2003, Herta is tied with the fifth-most top-10 results among all

IndyCar Series drivers and has the fifth-most top-five finishes.

Herta is one of three drivers in 2005 to claim three pole positions. He took his first pole at Phoenix, the second at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and the third at Michigan.

Herta has four career major open-wheel racing wins and ten poles.

Herta's first IndyCar Series victory came at Kansas Speedway in 2003.

For each race Herta wins during the 2005 season one fan will win $10,000 courtesy of XM Satellite Radio's Fast Cash promotion.

George Klotz, Team Manager, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone on the Honda Indy 225:

"We've had very good short-oval cars, so we're just going to get back on the horse and continue toward our goal of winning races. We're definitely focusing on winning races right now which will obviously move us up in the championship."
