Russell Clayton Edrington, 65, Pittsboro, died March 18, 2003, after a long, debilitating illness. He was a fabricator and manager for Sinden Racing Services on Gasoline Alley for 15 years and worked for several other racing enities during his career. He was a member of the American Legion and Speedway Old Timers. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1965. Mr. Edrington was a graduate of the University of Arizona and Lapel Indiana High School. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research % Pi Beta Phi Sorority, 20 Scamahorn Dr., Pittsboro, IN, 46167 or favorite charity. A Memorial and Celebration Service will be held at a later date owing to most of the racing community within which he lived and worked being away to Phoenix.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ansel R. and Maude M. Chamness Edrington; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers. He is survived by his sons Roger and Ronald Edrington, Tucson, AZ; daughter Jodi M. Dedrick, Tucson, AZ; brother Robert Edrington, AZ; mate Frances Lindley, Pittsboro; and grandchildren Kathryn Edrington and Tanner Dedrick.
