SONOMA, Calif. (Aug. 26, 2006) - Bryan Herta will start the #7 XM Satellite Radio car from the ninth position on the grid for Sunday's Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. Herta posted a best-lap speed of 105.678 miles per hour (1:18.3510 seconds) during his qualifying attempt. The next-to-last IndyCar Series event will be broadcast live by ESPN beginning at 3:30 p.m. (EDT). The entire IndyCar Series schedule is also carried live on XM Satellite Radio channel 145, the exclusive home of the IndyCar Series.
Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "I'm disappointed because the XM Satellite Radio car has been fast all weekend. I really don't know what happened. We went out for the qualifying run and the car was loose and we couldn't do the lap time we were able to this morning. I just couldn't muscle any more speed out of it. It was really surprising and is a tough break because this is a track where qualifying is important."
