HORNISH JR. NOMINATED FOR ESPY AWARD

2006 IndyCar® Series Champion Sam Hornish Jr. has been nominated for a 2007 ESPY Award in the category of "Best Driver" for clinching his Series-record third Championship last season. The 27 year-old had an unbelievable 2006 campaign as he earned four wins, including the Indianapolis 500; as well as four poles; and nine top-five and eleven top-ten finishes.

Hornish Jr. joins fellow nominees including:
* Dario Franchitti (2007 Indianapolis 500 Winner)
* Jeff Gordon (current NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship points leader)
* Jimmie Johnson (2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion)
* Kevin Harvick (2007 Daytona 500 Winner)
* Tony Schumacher (2006 NHRA Powerade Series Top Fuel World Champion)

The ESPY Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and LeBron James, will take place in Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 11th at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, CA. The broadcast of the show will air July 15th at 9 pm ET on ESPN.
