"I'm a little disappointed with our qualifying run this afternoon. Unfortunately fifth gear was a little too tall, but at least we were able to put the Marlboro Team Penske car in the top-ten (Castroneves qualified tenth). I think we should be okay for tomorrow - it's not quite where I wanted to start, but at this track it shouldn't be a problem. Now we have to focus and work hard for the race. We just need to make sure we're there, especially on the last lap."

-- Helio Castroneves, Marlboro Team Penske, 2001 and 2002 Indianapolis 500 Winner
-- #3 Marlboro Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet
-- Qualified 10th - 23.9429 sec. ( 218.770 mph)

"Overall I'm pretty happy with our qualifying run especially since it is my first time running on this track in an IRL car. I've had a lot to learn in a short time and the Team has done a great job helping me get up to speed. I think the Marlboro Team Penske car had a little more in it, but we're solidly in the field and tomorrow is the day that counts. We've been focusing primarily on the race set-up and should be in good shape for Sunday."

-- Max Papis, Marlboro Team Penske
-- #6 Marlboro Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet
-- Qualified 18th - 24.1153 sec. (217.197 mph)
