IRL: Texas: Rick Treadway qualifying report

Treadway ready to charge to the front.

Ft. Worth: Rick Treadway will start 22nd in his #55 Big Tex Trailers entry for Treadway-Hubbard Racing Saturday night in the Boomtown 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway. Treadway turned a top speed of 211.817 MPH around the banked 1 ½ mile oval.

"I had the pedal to the medal," said Treadway. "I don't know what else I could do. For some reason, we were down 200 RPM's with the same gearing from the earlier practice session. That 200 RPM's is the difference. Well, we started in the back here in October and made it to the front to finish 5th so I know we can do it. I have a great crew and the car has felt good all day so we should be good in the race."

The Boomtown 500 can be seen on ESPN Saturday night June 8th at 8 PM EDT.
