Indianapolis, IN: Treadway Racing today announced the formation of a partnership with Phoenix Networks-a national broadband services provider which markets residential and business-class high-speed DSL Internet access, as well as a security solution, email hosting, Web hosting and onsite technical services under the DSL brand. As part of the sponsorship agreement, Treadway Racing will feature the PhoenixDSL logo on the #5 car of Robby McGehee for the duration of the Northern Light Series.
"It's an honor to sponsor Robby's car," said Peter M. Roberts, founder and president of Phoenix Networks. "Car racing is a great metaphor for our company - fast-paced, nimble and driven to succeed. This also has great personal meaning for me as racing is also a family tradition - my father, the late Monty Roberts, raced as an amateur, oversaw the racing program at Ford Motor Company, managed the Ontario (California) Motor Speedway and introduced automobile racing into Anheuser Busch with Paul Newman and Mario Andretti."
Vice president Scott Cronk sees many opportunities within the Phoenix Networks contract. "The fast paced, high technology image of the Indy Racing Northern Light Series provides a natural branding fit for Phoenix Networks" he stated. "This, combined with the 10 month promotional window, the demographic fit of the fans, and the national reach of the series will enable Phoenix Networks to deploy an effective marketing program combining branding, client entertainment, and the use of the team and series as a sales channel."
The PhoenixDSL sponsorship is a natural fit for Treadway Racing-a team cognizant of technological advances. The team believes that new economy companies can capitalize on the marketing platform of the Indy Racing Northern Light Series and is pleased that Phoenix Networks is associated with the Northern Light Series.
