SEBRING, Florida (January 17, 2014) - The Panther Racing team and test driver Carlos Huertas took to the track today for a one-day Chevrolet Manufacturer test at Sebring International Raceway. Though the day started off with a chill, Panther and Huertas were happy to warm up the track, giving the No. 4 car a shakedown and allowing the Colombian some time behind the wheel.

Huertas and the team worked through some electrical glitches late in the day, an unfortunate end to a promising run, as Huertas was improving his lap times in each session. The team was very productive and glad to see the Panther Racing No. 4 Chevy back on track for the first time in 2014.

With the successful January test under their belts, Panther looks forward to a successful start to the upcoming IndyCar Season

QUOTABLE:
Carlos Huertas, No. 4 Panther Racing Chevrolet:
"The test went really well, and was going to plan. Unfortunately we had a small electrical issue and could not run the last two sets of tires.

It was a real shame that we had an issue-it was a good experience, and I am looking forward to my next opportunity to drive an IndyCar."

John Barnes, Panther Racing Managing Partner:
"I am very impressed with what I saw today from Carlos. Considering he had never seen an IndyCar before, had never been to Sebring, and we ran a relatively conservative setup, he was extremely competitive all day and never put a wheel off the track.

In these situations, you look for certain characteristics in a driver, and he had them all, including giving great feedback to our crew, fully understanding the data he was presented with... and utilizing that information to go faster the next time out.

I am proud of the effort today by Carlos and the entire Panther Racing crew. "
