Justin looking forward to his debut at Infineon Raceway

Justin is hoping for a change of fortune when he competes in the PEAK Antifreeze and Motor Oil Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma County at Infineon Raceway on Sunday.

With only three points-paying races to go in the 2008 IndyCar Series season, at three different types of circuit, Justin and his Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing team-mate Graham Rahal continue up the steep learning curve that they have faced this year. Justin is also looking to keep up his record of making every Firestone Fast Six qualifying final.

With 80 laps of 2.245 miles scheduled over this permanent road course, Justin is looking forward to his first race at the circuit. "Although I don't know the track, I can learn it pretty quickly" said Justin "Unfortunately we didn't get to test in Sonoma because we were getting another car ready for the road courses which took quite a bit of time. It's a shame because it looks like a lot of people were there and found some speed over the day so that is going to make life more difficult." In fact, 14 of the drivers in this weekend's race have the advantage of testing at the circuit.

After a gearbox failure put him out of contention in his last race, Justin wants to make amends with a good finish here. "It would be nice to score a victory in the 02 McDonald's car here on a road circuit. I think it's possible. I have won at least one race in each of the last three years of Champ Car and it would be great to continue that and score one this season, even with the added difficulty of being in a new championship. Hopefully we can capitalise on the momentum from our podium finish in Edmonton and put the McDonald's car in contention for another strong finish. We'll be in a different car this time because my road race car was damaged in Kentucky."

There are morning and afternoon practice sessions on Friday, with qualifying beginning at 4:15 pm EDT on Saturday. The race itself starts at 5:30 pm EDT on Sunday. As always, fans can follow the action from every on-track session via the official website of the IndyCar Series, www.indycar.com. The race can be heard live on IMS Radio Network and XM Radio Channels 144 and 145. In the UK, the race is scheduled to be broadcast live on Sky Sports Extra from 10:30 pm BST.
