Scott Dixon and the No. 9 Target Honda Team

Johnson Center Visit: Dixon visited professional Olympic track star Michael Johnson's Performance Center in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, becoming the first race car driver to participate in a fitness evaluation at the famed institute that trains existing and prospective athletes, especially football players. The Indianapolis 500 winner's experience will be shared as a feature during this weekend's Texas race broadcast on ESPN2.

Extending His Lead: Dixon further increased his points lead over Helio Castroneves to 28, compared to the 15-mark lead he had entering last weekend's race at the Milwaukee Mile where he finished second.

Free Land, or free Lamb?: After winning the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500, the New Zealand Lamb Association awarded Dixon a certificate that provides free lamb for the rest of the Kiwi's life. When he received the call from the association, he mistook their gift and thought he was receiving free land for life.

The Bubbly: In correspondence with friends, family and fans from New Zealand, Dixon was told the whole country paused in response to his victory and that champagne sales were four times higher on the day of his Indy 500 victory than sales from the start of the year.

Dan Wheldon and the No. 10 Polaroid Honda Team

Putting on Polaroid: Wheldon's traditional No.10 Target paint scheme will be traded for a black Polaroid car befitting Saturday night's race under the lights in Texas. Wheldon and the No.10 crew members will also switch out their traditional Target apparel for black Polaroid fire suits complemented with red, orange, green, purple detailing. The most excited about the paint scheme? The fashion-minded Wheldon. "Look at this suit! This is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I wonder if we can get these for the rest of the season. I can't wait to get to Texas."
