There are four drivers eligible as Indy 500 Rookie of the Year candidates, and they are Dennis Hauger, Mick Schumacher, Caio Collet, and Jacob Abel.
Prema Racing earned pole position for the 2025 Indy 500 with rookie Robert Shwartzman, but neither will take part in this year's edition of the race.
