Juan Pablo Garcia Finishes Top 10 Second Weekend in a Row
April 1, 2012 - Birmingham, AL. - Coming into their second race of the season, Jeffrey Mark Motorsport and driver Juan Pablo Garcia were ready to race. After rain delays and skip plate complications during the practice sessions, the #76 Freightliner Jeffrey Mark Motorsport car started P11 in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.
The 17-turn road course stretching 2.38 miles is one of the most challenging road courses on the schedule. With no rain clouds in sight, the Freightliner Jeffrey Mark Motorsport team was ready for a good run. A solid start and a steady race pushed the #76 car to a P8 finish.
"It was a really tough race, even tougher than I expected," Garcia said. "We made some changes to the car but it didn't handle the way I thought so it was a challenging race. It took a lot of patience. The crew did great and I am glad we ended P8. I'm looking forward to Long Beach and I hope to have a better finish there."
