SIMONA DE SILVESTRO RETURNS TO SPECIAL TRACK

Indianapolis, IN (April 15, 2010) - Team Stargate Worlds/HVM Racing driver Simona De Silvestro returns to a place this weekend that holds special memories for her. In 2008, then a driver in the Atlantic Championship Series, De Silvestro scored her first Atlantic series victory at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Fast forward to 2010, De Silvestro returns back to the world famous street course looking for similar success she experienced years ago, this time as a driver in the IZOD IndyCar Series. With the field this weekend set at 25 drivers, De Silvestro has her sights set on bringing home a solid result and continuing to earn her stripes among the deep field of talented competition.

De Silvestro returns to competition this weekend and, although the last few races may not have yielded the finishing results she would have liked, the unfortunate circumstances have not prevented many from taking notice of her talent and she's looking forward to having this weekend be the one in which all of the elements come together to have a successful race weekend.

Simona De Silvestro, Driver No. 78 - "I'm very happy to be back at Long Beach especially since this is a place where I have won at before. Long Beach is special to me in many ways. It was where I earned my first Atlantic series win and when I was 4 years old I recall coming to Long Beach as a tourist with my parents and, while visiting the Queen Mary, my Dad pointed out to me that they were racing cars over on the other side. Long Beach has always been a pretty cool place for me. I never thought that I would be back here racing in the IZOD IndyCar Series and now that I am, I'm hoping for a great result this weekend."

Keith Wiggins, HVM Racing Team Principal - "HVM has had good results on this great street course and qualified 7th last year. We like it here and we like working with Simona, so we are all looking to put a good result on the board together."

Imran Safiulla, Team Stargate Worlds Principal -"Long Beach holds very special memories for us. We left there as winners and Simona was the last winner of an Atlantic race contested there. Its been a very promising start to the season, but we frustratingly haven't had the results to show for it. Hopefully things will come together this weekend and we can have a strong showing."
