El día de hoy terminaron las actividades de la última fecha de la temporada 2000 del campeonato Indy Lights donde Rudy Junco y Derek Higgins pilotos del equipo Mexpro Racing/Preciobase.com se ubicaron en la octava y decimoséptima posiciones respectivamente. Sobre este resultado, que igualó al octavo lugar conseguido en Chicago como el mejor resultado de la temporada, Rudy Junco nos comentó : “El coche tuvo muy buen balance durante la carrera, logre establecer un muy buen ritmo y logré utilizar la succión a mi ventaja, sin embargo durante la parte final de la carrera tuve un problema con el escape del auto, lo cual no permitia que tuvieramos toda la potencia, logramos colocarnos en octavo lugar igualando mi mejor resultado. Estuve peleando las primera posiciones y eso me da plena confianza para la proxima temporada, considero que es un muy buen resultado para cierre de esta mi primera temporada”. Derek Higgins quien llegó a estar en la tercera posición, nos comentó: “Todo estaba puesto para intentar ganar la carrera en la parte final, pero en la última parte de la carrera, mi motor perdio mucha potencia, algo paso con las valvulas se escuchaba muy mal, es lamentable porque teniamos un auto muy fuerte y pudimos traer la primera victoria del equipo, sin embargo demostramos que podemos estar al frente, y esto sirve para cerrar bien la temporada y motivarnos para el año entrante.”
