Andersen Racing Retains Burris' BMS Group; Team Offers Marketing Partners Exposure in Three Series

FAIRFIELD, N.J., Oct. 27 - Andersen Racing is pleased to announce that it has retained Ken Burris of the BMS Group, Greensboro, N.C., to represent the Fairfield, N.J.-based team in the acquisition and representation of marketing partners, effective immediately.

The team plans to campaign multiple cars in the Indy Racing League's Indy Pro Series; the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear; and the Hankook Tires Formula Ford 2000 Series in 2007.

"We have been impressed with Ken's efforts and abilities working with one of our drivers this past season, and we expect his addition to our team will provide our sponsors with added value," said Dan Andersen, team owner. "His background in hospitality will also be of great assistance to those sponsors planning to use their racing involvement as a way to entertain clients, dealers and employees. Ken rounds out our administrative staff and, along with our long-time public relations director, Linda Mansfield of Restart Communications, they will provide our sponsors with excellent service and media exposure."

"I'm pleased that the BMS Group is partnering with Andersen Racing for the 2007 season," said Burris, who was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington before working in the hospitality industry for nine years and in corporate sales for more than seven years. He founded the BMS Group in 2004.

"This past year in the Star Mazda series I was able to observe the team through one of our clients, Gerardo Bonilla," Burris added. "Andersen Racing brings a wealth of experience, diversity and professionalism that makes it a great marketing avenue for any business. With Andersen Racing competing on the world stage in the top markets of North America, we expect to tailor partnerships that will meet the needs of both the team and its marketing partners."

The team, which fielded Star Mazda cars for Graham Rahal and Jonathan Klein, among others, in 2005, offers a unique three-tiered approach to prepare drivers straight from karting up to the major leagues of American open-wheel racing.

"We believe the F2000 Pro Series offers tremendous first-step value, and the Star Mazda Series, with its large purses, excellent TV package and terrific schedule, is clearly the best middle rung, delivering numerous drivers to higher levels year after year," Andersen said. "The Indy Pro Series is the perfect place for a driver to finish his training prior to a career in the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series or the Champ Car World Series due to its excellent mix of road courses, street circuits and ovals, coupled with its wonderful purse structure.

"We offer the best prep, fully professional at-track service, and a great marketing platform on all three levels," Andersen added. "Because of our results and our experience in open-wheel racing, we feel Andersen Racing is the perfect choice for talented, up-and-coming open-wheel drivers."
