His passion for Formula 1 was seemingly predetermined, given that a family image from his second birthday in 1984 shows Christian leaned over an F1 magazine with Niki Lauda's McLaren on its cover. After deciding against becoming a lawyer and trying the next best thing to becoming a professional racedriver, being a motorsport journalist, he first started his own F1 website in 1999 before joining the back then popular platform Daily F1 later that year to establish their German website as Editor. Christian became a shareholder of Daily F1's global business aged 18, before joining Fabian Hust at F1Total.com in 2003 - a platform that later turned into Motorsport-Total.com, the largest motorsports website in the German language region. Motorsport-Total.com now being a part of Motorsport Network, Christian's responsibility as Chief Editor also includes the German edition of motorsport.com and Formel1.de.
