DNF Costly, but Estasy Still Makes the Cut

A DNF in the qualifying heats has proven costly for Adrian Estasy at round three of the European Rotax MAX Championships. With an oversubscribed field in Austria, Estasy's non-finish in his second heat loaded his progressive score by 24 points.

Estasy steered the Xtreme Racegear Arrow to a conservative seventh in the opening heat. He bounced back in the third heat and secured a spot in the pre-final with a strong fourth place. This places him on grid 21 for the pre-final.

With the heats now complete, Estasy will be concentrating on good finishes in the pre-final and final. These are the only races that carry points for the championship point score.

The field is currently led my Matthew Wall (Arrow) who has so far been unbeatable in the heat races. Wall did not compete in the opening rounds and is therefore not a championship rival for Estasy.
