On Victory Lane at Greenwood Valley.

Joel VanBuskirk, Selinsgrove, and Jason Rice, New Tripoli, are guaranteed starting spots in next week's Nationals for Micro Sprints at The Greenwood Valley Action Track. The first and second place finishers in the Regular Micro Sprint Feature event on Saturday night will start in next weeks events. The third spot in the final race of the evening was taken by Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg, fourth by David Utt, Catawissa and fifth by Sean Stolz, Bloomsburg. Chop Slusser, Bloomsburg, placed in sixth while the rest of the top ten consisted of Joe Bednarski, Plymouth; Ray Peters, Shickshinny; Kevin Nolf, Nazareth, and Hoss Uhrin, Freeland.

In Sportsman Micro Sprint action Chop Slusser was the victor while Rick Morris, Catawissa, was second, George Savaren was third and Chris Arner, Berwick, was fourth. The final two cars running were driven by Robin Bresser and Dave Fulton.

In Rookie Micro Sprint action Timmy Buckwalter, Douglassville, claimed the prize, his second this year, while Dusty Jagger, Port Crane, NY, and Tammy Schane, Hamlin, were second and third. Fourth place was won by Deb Arner, Berwick, fifth was Doug Karlene, and in sixth place was Caesar Bordo, Scranton. Seventh place through tenth were Nunzi Allegrucci, Jermyn; Brian Brosius; Jack Longo, Hazelton, and Dave Moores, Tunkhannock.

Next Saturday night The Greenwood Valley Action Track will stage the Action Track Nationals in honor the memory of Blaise Alexander who tragically lost his life in the sport he loved. With a great purse and some of the best micro sprints competing for the money this should be a super Show. There will be a complete card of Karts, Micros and the usual line up of events next Saturday night. Gates will open at 3, warm-ups at 4:30 and racing getting underway by 5:30. Racing continues through October at The Action Track. See you at The Greenwood Valley Action Track, located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just south of route 254.
