Hundreds of thousands gathered to watch on Indy's westside for NASCAR's Brickyard 400 while on the eastside a few hundred go-karters and family gathered to race at the Indiana Speedway Pavement Series.
The big surprises of the day came from the youngest racers as Adam Kramer held off Jeff Bland, Jr. in the 25-Lap feature for the Restricted Junior class. Bland had dominated in the 4 races previous and set fast time for the youngsters but Kramer played the track like a pro and held on for the win in a tight duel. Travis Boggs out-qualified Melissa Asher by one-thousandth of a second but couldn't touch her in the race for the Mini-Cup cars.
The Speedrome portion of the traveling series concludes Sunday afternoon, September 30. <pre>
