Path Valley adjusts Karts schedule for rainouts

Spring Run, PA_ New winners Saturday at the Path Valley Speedway Park Karts and Quads races included Wayne Long of Imler in the Open class and Jamie Fink of Perry County in the Xtra-Heavy karts. Jr. Restricted top five points racer Chad Walter won his first feature of the season.

To compensate for a total of 30 season rainouts, Two Wheel Promotions will use all available makeup dates in October and that includes races for karts and quads. The season ends with the Saturday night Go-Kart Finale that was so successful on the soft nighttime clay last season.

Saturday regular points afternoon races for karts and quads are scheduled for Oct. 11 and 4 and Sept. 27. Oct. 18 is an off date in respect of a major karting event at Silver Springs.

The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike. The new phone number at the track for promoter Ken Geesey is 717-349-7111. For information on the 2003 schedule and rules, race teams and fans can consult the website at www.pathvalley.com or they can email Two Wheel Promotions at twp@pathvalley.com.
