JOE WHITE RACING ENGINES EARNS STELLAR RESULTS AT PROKART CHALLENGE
Four JWR Engines drivers stand on podium at Infineon Raceway

SONOMA, CA (March 13, 2008) - Northern California based Joe White Racing Engines scored solid results at the recent SKUSA ProKart Challenge North event at Infineon Raceway. A quartet of drivers was powered to the podium by JWR Engines at the March 13 on the Jim Russell International Karting Center circuit. With a solid stock moto and TaG engine program, JWR Engines garnered four podium finishes, including a victory in the headline S1 category.

Nic LeDuc and Tommy Thompson each had JWR Engines Stock Moto powerplants bolted to their chassis in S1 Pro Stock Moto class. The duo recorded the third and fourth quickest laps in the timed session to start the event off. Each ran both heat races inside the top five to set up solid starting positions for the main event. LeDuc - running a JWR Engines package for the first time - would battle for the lead early on in the feature until securing the position following the halfway mark. Though he was challenge, LeDuc powered away at the end to secure his first Stock Moto victory. Staying with the lead pack, Thompson made a late charge to steal the third step on the podium, keeping in the early hunt for the class championship.

Also utilizing JWR Engines Stock Moto package was S4 driver Alex Keith. The Masters Stock Moto driver recorded the fastest lap in the qualifying session, posting a 49.455. Grabbing the hole shot in the opening heat, Keith led the first few laps before relinquishing the position, ending up second at the checkered flag. After losing a spot in the early goings of heat two, Keith regained the second position to start outside row one of the main event. Holding strong in the runner-up spot, Keith kept up with the leader for most of the final, unable to produce a pass for the top spot to score the second step of the podium.

JWR Engines earned its second pole position of the weekend behind TaG Junior pilot Niki Luna. The young driver posted a 53.415 to start the opening heat from the P1 grid spot. Luna would go on to lead all eight laps of the first heat, repeating the feat in the second to secure the pole for the feature. Luna engaged in a tough battle for the win in the 20-lap race, coming down to the wire. Leading on the white flag lap, Luna fought valiantly however came 0.037-seconds short of the victory. The performance put Luna at the top of the early points chase in the category.

"This event was great for our JWR Engines customers," stated Joe White after returning to the shop. "We scored a pole in both TaG and Stock Moto competition, which shows we have the right engine packages to put drivers at the front in those categories. I'm happy (Nic) LeDuc was able to score his first win and with Tommy in third, we had two JWR Engines drivers on the S1 podium. Working with Infinity Karting drivers Keith and Luna were great and I look forward to helping them to the top of the podium the next time out. The start to the 2010 season has been great and I'm looking forward to support our other customers throughout the year."

JWR Engines will be supporting drivers with Stock Moto and TaG packages along with Maxter and TM ICC engines, KPV (formerly HPV), Honda CR-80 and modified Honda CR-125 engines. White will be trackside at the remaining ProKart Challenge North events along with selected others, including SKUSA Pro Tour, WSK North American Series, IKF Region 11 and ProKart Challenge South.
