Burnsville, MN (July, 2000) Pro Kart Indoors hosted the inaugural Firecracker 250, a 250 lap event that took place on Tuesday, July 4, commenced at 10 am.
Ten teams fielded the event, with each team consisting of 4 drivers. There were 8 driver changes made during the 2 hour and 17 minute race. Qualifying on the pole was the 4 man team of Bud Sourdiff, Steve Leefly, Shane Casnahan, and John Coady in the #2 kart.
The race was long and very exciting. When the checkered flag dropped at 12:17 pm, it was the same 4 man team who had captured the pole, that walked away with the victory.
Post race festivities shown below, consisted of podium celebrations with the top 3 teams. Trophies were then handed out as the officers and marketing team of Pro Kart Indoors go back to the drawing board to begin plans for the next big event at Minnesota's ONLY arrive and drive karting facility... PRO KART INDOORS...
