In the Micro Max category, Rajiv claimed the title with a total of 416 points.

Ruhaan Alva, who impressed with his performance in EasyKart Italia, finished a joint runner-up with Rishon M R. The two karters trailed champion Rajiv by eight points in a closely-contested season.

MSport’s Aradhya took top honours in the Junior Max category with a narrow margin of nine points over BPC’s Chirag Ghorpade.

The Bangalore-based karter ended the season with 432 points as opposed to Ghorpade’s total of 423.

Asia Max Karting Champion Shahan Ali Mohsin finished third in the standings, 27 points adrift of champion Aradhya.

And finally, Ravindra put on a dominant display in the Senior Max category to emerge as a worthy champion. The Rayo Racing karter claimed most race wins to finish the season with 436 points, well clear of his nearest challenger Nirmal Umashankar (403).

Umashankar, in turn, finished 15 points clear of Aanjan Patodia, who also competed for Rayo Racing.

Several other awards were also handed out to karters. Alva was awarded for scoring maximum poles this year, while Rishon was recognised as the Best Newcomer.

Akbar Ebrahim Most Improved Karter of the Year award went to Rohaan Madhesh, while Uma Shankar was declared the Best Karter of the year.

Meanwhile, based on their performance, Ravindra, Aradhya and Alva will all represent India in the World Rotax Finals in Portimao, Portugal from November 5-11.
