Plenty of victories!
From Mini-Kart to KF categories via endurance and Le Mans 24 Hours, SODI chassis has chalked up one victory after another at an impressive pace during Summer, while scoring also several double and even triple victories! Obtained in France as well as in Europe, this string of successes is the consequence of the hard work done by the French brand to offer all pilots a chassis with the potential to triumph in any category.
The 24th edition of Le Mans 24 Hours has been marked by the triumph of La Sarthe-RTKF team, which has placed two of its teams equipped with SODI chassis at the first two places of the queen of endurance races. "Winning at international level in such a long and difficult race is a kind of magic", has rejoiced the team manager, Claude Jamin. "The drivers have played a major role in this success but it is known that the material is the key element during 24 hours. And at this level, the SODI chassis has given us full satisfaction. With it, we had already won the Euro Endurance and the French Endurance Championships, but the one race we really wanted to win, was exactly Le Mans 24 hours".
Used in extreme conditions, it has guaranteed extreme reliability, both in terms of frame and components. And results have come unfailingly both in the race and in the practices, since the two karts of the RTFK team have started from the front row on Saturday afternoon. Note that the two SODI official drivers, Alban Varutti (winner with #72) and Anthony Abbasse (second with #2), were part of this terrific adventure.
SODI, first in the promotion categories
In 2009, SODI has swept the titles in Mini-Kart, Minime, Cadet and National. Having relied upon the Sodi brand for several years, the BRK team has marked a double victory at France National Cup with Antoine Lepesqueux and Matthieu Melet. In the Minime-Cadet French Championship, SODI MC5 chassis covered all podiums: Leclerc-Hubert-Moineault in Cadet and Besancenez-Naud-Matala in Minime. In Summer, Anthoine Hubert and Paolo Besancenez have also won the French Cup in their respective category, again with a SODI. As for the Mini-Kart French Cup, it was won by Mathieu Romeo driving his SODI Mini 900.
Tuscher and Sodi, KF3 Swiss Champions
Matheo Tuscher has collected so many victories and podiums in 2009, that he has secured the title of KF3 Swiss champion with one more round to go! In a series taking place on Italian tracks as well as on Swiss and French tracks, the drivers with SODI colors has shown impressive effectiveness. He had already done so in the context of the Bridgestone Cup Swiss version, which he also won brilliantly. "After the triumphs in KF2, in X30 or in Rotax Max, as well as very recently in the KART mag Trophy, SODI 2009 chassis pursues its mission of victories in Europe", remarked Nicola De Cola, competition service manager at SODI.
