DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (12-30-96) -- Daytona veterans Donald Bootes, Michael Cima and Chris Bennett continued their domination of the 22nd annual World Karting Association Enduro World Championships Monday at Daytona International Speedway as they each won their second event of the weekend as Kart Week action concluded. Bootes, of Redlands, Calif., won the B Limited class, in which Italian world champion Stefano Parilla dropped out with three laps remaining. Cima, of Turtle Creek, Pa., completed his sweep of the fastest classes when he notched the Unlimited victory to back-up his 1996 national championship in that class. Bennett, of Jacksonville, Ill., and Daytona vet Bernie Baldus of Leawood, Kan., duplicated their one-two finish of the day before (in Yamaha Sportsman Medium) in Yamaha Sportsman Lite, with Bennett winning for the second straight day. The Speedway will be quiet until Friday, when Ford NASCAR Winston Cup Stock car teams open the first three-day test of the winter.
