Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series Season Finale This Weekend

09.11.2008 -- There will be plenty of action and championships on the line, so a lack of excitement will not be a factor for the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series season finale this weekend at Beechnut Raceway in Blountville, TN.

The Target Distributing Nationals will be held on September 12 -- 14, 2008. The series started the season near the beaches of Florida back in December, and have worked their five-race schedule all throughout the southeast states, ending in the mountains of Tennessee.

The Target Distributing Nationals will be the deciding factor for many competitors' championships. The closest battle to watch may be between Jessie Tucker and Zach Holcombe in the Briggs Sr Champ Heavy class where only five points separate the two coming into this weekend's event.

There are only 10 points between Nathan Long and Dennis Bryson in the Briggs Jr Sportsman 2 Champ class. Joey Herques comes into the season finale with a 15-point lead over Cody Clayton in the Briggs Jr Champ Lite class.

The Briggs Senior class should show a close battle between Stuart Jennings and Gregory Fields, as there are only 15 points separating those two. And, with only a 20-point lead, Justin McDonald will need to stay on top of his game as Brian Hunter is hot on his heels. These are just a few of the close battles that are bound to take place this weekend.
