WKA Mourns Loss Of Jeff Hofmeister
09.30.2008 - The World Karting family was saddened to learn of the passing of Jeff Hofmeister recently. A resident of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Jeff served as a member of the WKA National tech team on the George Kugler Bridgestone Manufacturer's Cup Series in 2004. He eventually took the position of race director for the Mfg Cup and Horstman Gold Cup Series in 2005.
Jeff led the two series for the next couple years, until his departure in 2007. Another in a long line of quality officials who have come from the Badger Kart Club, Jeff was known for his relentless efforts in providing communication and customer service to the competitors at the track. Jeff Hofmeister will be sorely missed in the racing community.

Road Racers head to Roebling Road
09.30.2008 - The WKA Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series driven by Mazda will make its next to last stop this weekend, Oct 3-5, at the Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah, GA. The Southern Kart Club hosted event will bring the competitors one step closer to completing another great season, and with championships on the line, the racing is anticipated to be quite exciting!
Trailer drop-off and pit pass sales begins at 6pm Thursday, October 2nd with pre-entry pickup taking place from 7pm -- 9pm. Pit pass sales will close at 10pm Thursday night and will resume at 7am Friday. Track management asks all competitors arriving earlier in the day to park in the field across from the registration building and to please not park on the street or the track driveway.
