The ACO will not allow Loic Duval to race this weekend after his terrifying accident earlier today. It was reported that he only suffered scratches on his legs and arms, but he's not being cleared to race by doctors. It's unfortunate news for Duval who was hoping to defend his Le Mans title with teammates Tom Kristensen and Lucas Di Grassi.

This decision was made after he underwent some more tests at the hospital. JOTA Sport's Marc Gene will replace him as the third driver of the No. 1 Audi. Gene won the overall crown at Le Mans for Peugeot back in 2009 and competed for Audi in both 2012 and 2013.

The Spaniard was originally scheduled to drive the No. 38 Zytek-Nissan for the JOTA Sport team in LMP2.

The Audi sport team is working 24/7 to build a new car after the original was ripped in half and completely destroyed in the accident.
