CRS HEADS EAST FOR FINAL GT RACE OF 2010

CRS Racing heads off on the long trip to China this week for the final round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. The Zhuhai 1000kms is the team's final GT race of 2010 and all efforts will be focused on the No.90 Ferrari 430, raced by Andrew Kirkaldy, Pierre Ehret and Phil Quaife.

CRS Team Principal last raced at Zhuhai in the 2007 FIA GT Championship. It was his first time at Zhuhai but this didn't hold him back in the slightest.

"I qualified third for the race and then managed to steal the lead on the first lap," he said. "I really enjoyed my run and ended up with a 20 second lead so it was all good. All of our racing has been in Europe this year so it will be interesting to go a bit further afield. Hopefully we can come away with a good result."

Phil Quaife has never been to China, let alone Zhuhai. He has been getting a bit of practice in though so he is ready for the big race.

"I'm really excited about this event as it will be a whole new experience for me," he said. "I've spent some time in the CRS simulator recently to learn the Zhuhai track so I think I know which way it goes now. I've also been working hard with Karl (Bickley) on my physical fitness. It will be good to share a car with Andrew (Kirkaldy) for the first time and also to race again with Pierre (Ehret). I want to finish the season on a high - we didn't get the chance to do that at Silverstone - so this is our chance. It's always a pleasure to go to a new track and it will be interesting to share a car with the boss, although I'm not expecting to get the new tyres! Just kidding, I'm sure Andrew will let me!"

The 1000km race gets underway on Sunday at 1200hrs local time. Zhuhai is eight hours ahead of the UK so that's a 0400hrs start. Radiolemans.com will be on air from 0400hrs and Eurosport will join in at 0800hrs to show the final two hours of the race.
