The unveiling of the Le Mans 24-Hours poster is always an eagerly-awaited event by the fans. This year the presentation of the 2014 version had a special character as it took place during the first press day of the Geneva International Motor Show.

Henri Pescarolo, 4-time winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours, a member of the Le Mans 24-Hours Drivers Hall of Fame, and ambassador for the race, surrounded by the 21 cars in the exceptional exhibition backed by Rolex unveiled the poster in front of Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, Jean Todt the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile ) President, Gian Riccardo Marini the Rolex General Manager and Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex Communications and Image Manager in addition to a large number of the main players in the race including drivers, team managers, and new partners plus representatives of the international press.

The 82nd Le Mans 24-Hours race (14-15 June) is placed under the banner of innovation. After the presentation of its new logo, new entries and a set of new, revolutionary regulations for the blue riband LM P1 category, the poster unveiled today marks a complete break with those of previous years.

For the fifth time it is the fruit of collaboration between the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and the LAFOURMI communications agency.

This poster defines an area of rich expression aimed at a wide-ranging public by projecting them into a powerful and attractive imaginary environment:

Pride of place goes to the new prototypes launched in 2014 which, propelled by luminous, electric colours, leap out of the poster.

A cleaner and less figurative universe than in the past, which fits perfectly with the new slogan – A new era dawns!

The integration of spectators of all ages whose faces show the expressions of awe and the incredible emotions experienced.

This unveiling ceremony closed the first day of the Geneva International Motor Show placed under the banner of the Le Mans 24 Hours, as this morning Porsche presented its new 919 Hybrid LM P1 (on the 2014 poster) and its new 911 RSR in the presence of Mark Webber, one of the new works drivers, and Patrick Dempsey - who will race in this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours in a Porsche - among others.
