Ebrahim will partner British young gun Jack Bartholomew at FFF Racing, which won the GT Asia title last year.

Ebrahim’s deal with the Chinese squad ends his association with Dilango Racing and its Sri Lankan driver/owner Dilantha Malagamuwa.

The pairing finished second overall in the 2015 season of Super Trofeo Asia Series, before winning the Pro-Am class last year.

“I am very pleased and excited to be joining FFF Racing in an all Pro line-up,” Ebrahim said. “I spent the last couple of seasons driving in Pro-Am and last year even winning the title in our class.”

"I've got a good teammate in Jack and look forward to working together and making 2017 a successful one! Lastly I'd like to thank the guys at FFF Racing for helping put this deal together.”

FFF Racing Team Owner Sean Fu Songyang added: “We are obviously delighted to have been able to sign Armaan to drive with FFF Racing Team in our Super Trofeo Asia programme.

“He is a proven race winner and putting him with Jack, who is exceptionally quick in his own right, will make them a formidable duo to beat.”

FFF Racing will field a second car in the championship, driven by German-Australian pairing of Carrie Schreiner and Richard Goddard.

The Chinese team fielded another Indian Parth Ghorpade in two rounds of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East earlier this year.

The 2017 season of Super Trofeo consists of five rounds, with the first race taking place this weekend at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit.
