O'Reilly Auto Parts to Sponsor 18th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals
TULSA, Okla. (October 30, 2003) - It was announced today that O'Reilly Auto Parts, headquartered in Springfield, MO, will be the title sponsor for the 18th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, which will take place January 7-10, 2004, at the Tulsa Expo Raceway.
"We are enthused about our upcoming involvement with the Chili Bowl Nationals," said Kevin Greven, spokesman for O'Reilly Auto Parts. "The Chili Bowl attracts the best race car drivers in the country and the best fans, so O'Reilly Auto Parts is proud to sponsor one of auto racing's most prestigious annual events."
O'Reilly Auto Parts is one of the largest specialty retailers of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies, equipment and accessories in the United States, serving both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets. Founded in 1957 by the O'Reilly family, the company operates more than 1,000 stores throughout eighteen different states.
O'Reilly's recently announced record revenues and earnings for the 40th consecutive quarter since becoming a public company in April 1993.
The Chili Bowl is held inside the 500,000 square foot Tulsa Expo Center, one of the largest such buildings without any center supports. The ¼-mile race track, 125,000 square foot Fan/Trade Show, and pits for over 200 race teams with their transporters, all inside, results in a very fan friendly environment.
The Chili Bowl attracts numerous championship-caliber drivers from various forms of racing, including defending NASCAR Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart. The 2003 edition of the Chili Bowl attracted more than 200 entries.
