America's busiest little race track hosted everything from Go-Karts to Lincoln Continentals in a four-day race fest last weekend that featured wins by old favorites and some rising stars.

Thursday - June 7 - -- - Rick Treadway motored home in the NAMARS midget regional series after a torrid duel with young Billy Wease. Shane Hollingsworth took the Kenyon Midget main while Terry Goff snatched the UMRA TQ midget feature as the Three/Quarters ran their first official Speedrome events in ten years.

Friday - June 8 - -- - Jim Begley stays on top of the Carmel Sod Modifieds division with a win over a hard-charging Doug Greig, series runner-ups Billy George and Billy Boyer and a strong run from sophomore Bruce Newlin, Jr. Doug Greig came back to win the Race City Auto Sales Legends Cars main chased by David Sutton, Jimmy Kirby and another young lion, Chad Smith. The Bandoleros main went to points leader Mike Hadley. A tearful Charlie Potts dedicated his first win to his father in the Yardarm Bomber Figure-8 following a side-by-side duel with Scott Settles. Sunshine Cafe Roadrunner features went to Doug Watt and Bill Fortner. The Baby Grand Stock Cars made their first appearance of 2001 and Don Napier held off Kent Baledge for the top spot.

Saturday - June 9 - -- - Bruce Tunny planted his feet squarely on top of the Bryant's 76 Late Model Championship battle with a win in Saturday's 50-lap Figure-8 feature. R. J. Norton, Jr. and Ronnie Rigdon led more laps in the run with Norton snatching second in his best "8" finish thus far. Current points runner-up Jack Dossey grabbed his first Late Model Oval main. Fifteen years ago he was racing Big Wheels but now he's winning big races. College student Corey Turner passed Jerry Johnson with two laps left to take the Chuck's Race Car Parts Stock oval main. Roadrunner features went to Herb Carson and Larry Thomas.

Sunday - June 10 - -- - The Indiana Speedway Pavement Series continued with Round 2 on a sunny Sunday morning. Nine features for nine classes kept the go-karts busy with Andy Prather, Brandon McMurtrey, Jason Shores, Jeff Bland Jr., Bruce McKinley, Joe McKee, Chuck Clark, Michael Smith, and Jim McClain taking top spots.

Racing continues this Thursday evening with the NAMARS midgets and Kenyon midgets; Friday with the Modifieds, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Bomber Figure-8 and Roadrunners; Saturday with Late Models, Stocks and Roadrunners. All are evening events with the first race going green at 7:00PM.
