Ajo switches to KTM, signs Binder and Oliveira for 2017 Moto2 season
Ajo Motorsport will team up with its current Moto3 partners KTM and Red Bull in Moto2 next year, forming a two-bike line-up with Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira.
The Finnish team, which has won Moto3 titles with Marc Marquez, Sandro Cortese and Mike Di Meglio in the past, expanded its operations to Moto2 last year.
The squad claimed the title at its first attempt with Johann Zarco and the Frenchman stayed for 2016 as well, currently leading the standings.
Ajo will expand to two bikes next year, employing the team's current Moto3 leader Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira.
Oliveira made his Moto2 debut this year after finishing as runner-up in Moto3 in 2015, also riding for Ajo.
Similarly to most of the field, Ajo has been racing with a Kalex bike but it has announced to adopt to its Moto3 brand KTM next year.
KTM, one of the most successful constructors in Moto3, has been last used in the secondary class in 2008 with Mika Kallio taking third.
KTM will also enter MotoGP next year, becoming the only brand to race in all three categories.
