The French rider, who at the British Grand Prix was involved in a big crash together with Pol Espargaro, suffered multiple fractures to his right foot and was unable to take part in the latest round of the championship, where he was replaced by Xavi Fores.
Baz will need to undergo a medical check-up on Thursday and then in theory should be allowed to ride in the opening practice session on Friday morning.
It will be then when the Avintia rider will have a clearer idea of whether or not he will be able to race on Sunday.
"I'm not at my maximum, and the foot is still painful, but I think that I will be able to ride my bike and the doctors and my physiotherapist have the same opinion," said Baz.
"I'll get the final check with the doctors at the track on Thursday and I'll take to the track on Friday and I'll see how I feel on the bike. Since I crashed, I've been working constantly with my physio, with a lot of work in the swimming pool to regain motion in my foot.
"I improve steadily, but we have to see how I feel riding the bike. I look forward to completing a positive weekend at Aragon and try to get some points if possible, but my goal will be to get some feeling with the bike and get into the overseas triple in the best possible shape."
