Assen Holland, June 27. "Roberto Rolfo failed to improve his grid position in final qualifying for the 250cc Dutch GP, even though he improved his lap time from yesterday's opening session. But he is happy and goes into the race in confident mood with the possibilities offered by the race at Assen, the 'Cathedral' of motorcycle racing.

The Fortuna Honda's performance improved in respect to the first day of practice but a series minor factors prevented him from clawing back his position of yesterday, particularly the heavy traffic he encountered on his flying laps. This prevented him from finding a good rider to slipstream for a really fast lap time.

"We still have work to do in the warm up but in general all we have done to make a good set up for this track is adequate. I think we are in a position to make a good race at Assen, a track which is always complicated and hard because it is very technical." Assessed Rolfo.

"I think I could have improved my time a little bit today but the truth is that on the occasions when I tried to find a fast rider for the all important slipstream I couldn't find one. That and the heavy traffic conditioned my lap times." Rolfo recognised.

"Anyway, in the warm up we are going to try a some small suspension modifications to improve the feeling I get from the Fortuna Honda when entering the corners. If everything goes as it has before when we have had this problem, and I make a good start I can fight with the front runners." Concluded Fortuna Honda rider.
