Indy MotoGP: Marquez and Lorenzo crash in warm-up
Indianapolis Grand Prix poleman Marc Marquez and fellow front-row starter Jorge Lorenzo both crashed in the warm-up this morning without injury.
Lorenzo crashed first, losing control of the rear-end of his Yamaha and unable to catch the resulting tankslappers. He slid on his backside, ending on the kerb on the inside of the following corner.
Lorenzo, who is 13 points behind Valentino Rossi in the championship, rejoined the session later on his spare bike.
Marquez crashed at Turn 10, sparks flying from his bike, but he too got up and walked away despite the high-speed nature of the fall.
Rain is forecast in time for the race later this afternoon.
