Lorenzo on a mission on second day at Sepang MotoGP testing
Movistar Yamaha rider leads the way and continues to improve lap times

Jorge Lorenzo jumped to the top of the timing sheets on day two of official testing at the Sepang International Circuit with the Movistar Yamaha rider continuing to lower his lap times and the first rider to dip under the two-minute bracket with his best lap of 1m 59.963s.
Andrea Dovizioso also improved on his lap times today for the Ducati Team (2m 0.015s) while Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez ended the day in third (2m 0.146s).
Dani Pedrosa finished the second day in fourth place for the Repsol Honda team with his best lap of 2m 0.260s seeing the Spaniard +.131s ahead of Ducati Team rider Andrea Iannone and Movistar Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi in 6th (2m 00.676s).
Pol Espargaro sits in 7th for the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team despite a small crash this afternoon but he finished ahead of the improving Cal Crutchlow who is back on HRC machinery with the CWM LCR Honda rider today finishing ahead of Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) and Aleix Espargaro rounding off the top ten for Team Suzuki MotoGP.
Hard testing work continues for MotoGP riders
Stefan Bradl was just outside the top ten today with the NGM Forward Racing rider’s best time of 2m 1.484s enough to see him ahead of Hector Barbera (Avintia Racing) and Scott Redding in 14th for the Estrella Galicia 0.0 Marc VDS team.
Maverick Viñales Team Suzuki MotoGP was hard at work again today and finished in 15th position with his best lap of 2m 1.916s and finishing ahead of Pramac Racing’s Danilo Petrucci (2m 01.932s) and Alvaro Bautista for Aprilia Racing Team Gresini (2m 2.155s) and the second of the Pramac Racing machines in the hands of Michele Pirro in 18th.
Nicky Hayden ended day two in 19th place for the Drive M7 Aspar team with the 2006 world champion setting a best lap of 2m 2.228s while Karel Abraham was the last rider inside the top 20 with the AB Motoracing rider setting a best lap of 2m 2.574s.
Loris Baz continues to familiarize himself with MotoGP machinery and the NGM Forward Racing rider finished the day in 21st setting a best lap of 2m 2.842s while Jack Miller is also getting used to his CWM LCR Honda set the 24th best lap of 2m 3.083s.
There was a lot of tough work being undertaken by rookies and open class riders including Eugene Laverty with a 24th best lap of 2m 3.129s while Alex De Angelis set a time of 2m 3.399s on the Octo Ioda Racing bike and Mike Di Meglio in 26th place for the Avintia Racing team (2m 3.609s) and Aprilia Racing Team Gresini’s Marco Melandri on a best time of 2m 4.487s.
