Luthi testing the bike in Assen
The first free practice of the TT Assen was, regarding the result, not satisfying for Tom Luthi and the Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2 Team. The testing program the team wanted to absolve in this session was satisfying instead, but it was too much and was guiding the team into the wrong direction. The concentration was not on the lap times today, but this will definitely change for tomorrow's second free practice and the qualifying in the afternoon.
Tom Luthi, 19 -- 1'41.028:
"We packed the practice with different tests. These were too many things and
they directed the team wrong. Of course I am not satisfied with today's
result as you may be able to imagine, but we know how it came and tomorrow
the concentration will not be on any testing program for the bike."
Terrell Thien, Team Manager:
"We have tried many things today, too many! But we didn't lose anything yet,
this was just the first day, the first free practice. We didn't have to
achieve anything today. But we learnt a lot about the bike, that we didn't
know yet and this will hopefully be useful for the future."
