Marquez fastest on rain affected day one at Brno
Repsol Honda rider sets the pace in the Czech Republic ahead of Lorenzo and Pedrosa

Marc Marquez came away from the first two practice sessions at the Automotodrom Brno on top of the timing sheets with the MotoGP championship leader setting the fastest time on a rain-affected day one ahead of Sunday’s bwin Grand Prix České Repuliky.
Track conditions at the circuit were bright and dry this morning with all riders taking advantage with rain forecast for this afternoon’s second practice session. Marquez’s best time of 1m 56.803s was enough to stay ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and the Movistar Yamaha team with Dani Pedrosa just narrowly behind these two with his best lap of 1m 56.855s.
Sitting in fourth place on combined practice times is NGM Forward Racing’s Aleix Espargaro on a best lap of 1m 57.002s with the Spaniard leading Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi in fifth just .63 behind the Open Class rider and narrowly ahead of LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl who set a personal best time of 1m 57.084s.
Ducati Team rider Andrea Dovizioso sits in 7th place today with his best lap of 1m 57.169s enough to stay ahead of Energy TI Pramac Racing’s Yonny Hernandez and the Columbian’s best lap of 1m 57.190s faster than that of Pol Espargaro whose best lap of 1m 57.634s good enough to see his Monster Yamaha Tech 3 teammate Bradley Smith into the final spot in the top ten with a best time of 1m 57.816s.
