Pacific GP Argentinian drivers report

It coudn't be for Sebastián Porto. After four races in the podium the Argentinian finished eighth in the Grand Prix of Pacifico in the 250cc of the World Championship disputed in Motegi, Japan.

It was a horrible weekend for Porto who won in the last competition in Portugal his first race in the Championahip. ¨Sebas¨ broke four engines during the weekend and he never had a good set up on his bike. After all the Argentinian completed the race in eighth position and he is still fourth in the Championship. The dream of finished in the third place of the tournament seemes very difficult because Roberto Rolfo finished the race sixth and now he has more advantage with Porto.

Sebastián started the race sixth and quickly he lost that position to be seventh fighting with Emilio Alzamora. With the pass of the laps Rolfo passed Porto and Alzamora and the driver of the Sprinta Petronas Yamaha team only could finished eighth. Now the Argentinian thinks in the next race of Malasia where he will try to be again in the podium.

The fight for the victory was fantastic. The Italian -leader in the championship- Marco Melandri with Aprilia dominated all the race near followed by the Spanish Toni Elías also with an Aprilia. In the lasts laps the fight between them was unbelievable. After make many tries to pass Melandri, Elías waited until the best moment in the last curve of the last lap to take the leadership and get his first victory in the 250cc World Championship. It was also fantastic the work realized by the Japanese Yuki Takahashi with Honda who finished third in his first competition of World Championship with 18 years old.
