In MotoGP's 2019 rookie class, there is an odd man out. It's not the Moto2 points leader or his nearest rival, neither is it the current Moto3 champion who has performed strongly in his rookie year.

In a new crop of riders including Ducati-contracted future Pramac rider Pecco Bagnaia, Tech 3 KTM recruit Miguel Oliveira, Suzuki's latest Spanish prodigy Joan Mir, it's Fabio Quartararo who stands out.
