MotoGP, USA

Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi are likely to dominate headlines as MotoGP visits the Circuit of the Americas for Round 3 of the 2018 season.

Marquez and Rossi clashed at the previous race in Argentina and will have plenty to say in the aftermath of their latest incident.

Marquez, though, would be keen on shoving off-track media attention to the sidelines, for he has a perfect record at COTA to protect. The Spaniard has won every race at Austin since it debuted on the calendar in 2013.

Rossi, meanwhile, will have to do with a Yamaha bike that still leaves much to be desired.

If someone can benefit from Marquez-Rossi rivalry, it has to be Andrea Dovizioso. The Italian, a revelation of 2017, currently sits second in the championship following his victory in the season opener in Qatar.

Due to the difference in time zones, the US GP will be broadcast at 12:30am on Monday on Sony ESPN. The race will also be simulcast for free on Sony’s online streaming platform, Sony LIV.

Narain Karthikeyan (Super Formula, Suzuka)

The 2018 Super Formula season will get underway this weekend at the legendary Suzuka Circuit in Japan.

India will once again have representation on the grid, courtesy of Narain Karthikeyan, who will embark on his sixth season in the Japanese single-seater series.

And for once Karthikeyan will have team stability, having elected to stay with Nakajima Racing for a second consecutive year.

The 41-year-old was particularly quick in testing and is likely to benefit from the progress Honda has made over the winter on the engine side.

The Suzuka Super Formula race will be exclusively broadcast online by our sister company Motorsport.tv.

NRT (World Supersport, Assen)

The Indian-owned NRT team heads to Assen on the back of its first ever World Supersport podium finish at Aragon.

As such, the expectations will be high from the team and its talented rider pairing.

Anish Shetty and Rajiv Sethu (Asia Road Racing Championship, Australia)

After a month long break, the Asia Road Racing Championship returns to action this weekend at Australia’s Bend Motorsport Park.

Anish Shetty and Rajiv Sethu will represent India in the Asia Production 250cc category, both driving for Honda Ten10 Racing.

Neither has driven at the Australian track before, but nor have majority of the field. As such the competition will be thrown wide open.

All ARRC races will be streamed live on the series’ Facebook channel for free.
