MotoGP (Italian Grand Prix)

Lorenzo romped to a 6.370s victory at Mugello, leading a Ducati 1-2 at the Italian’s manufacturer’s home soil.

The Spaniard shot to the lead at the start of the race and never looked threatened as he secured his first win since the 2016 Valencia event.

Valentino Rossi brought even more cheer for the home crowd by finishing third - behind Andrea Dovizioso - after passing Andrea Iannone late in the race.

Championship leader Marc Marquez suffered a huge blow when he suffered a crash at the Scarperia right-hander while running in second place. Marquez managed to get back on his bike and resume the race, but could only limp home in 16th position.

Dani Pedrosa retired from the race on the very first lap, marking a difficult day for the factory Honda team.

Jehan Daruvala (European F3, Hungaroring)

Jehan Daruvala secured a best finish of sixth in the Hungaroring European F3 round after setup issues put all Carlin drivers on the backfoot on Friday.

The British team managed to make overnight changes that allowed Daruvala to qualify sixth and fourth for the weekend’s final two races.

While he managed to retain his position in Race 2, a stalled start in the weekend’s final meeting dropped him to the bottom of the pack.

Despite the setback, he initiated a spectacular comeback drive, making some bold moves to finish just outside the points in 11th.

Amittrajit Ghosh and Ashwik Naik (European Rally Championship, Greece)

Amittrajit Ghosh notched up a class win on his maiden European Rally Championship appearance in Greece on Sunday.

Driving a generation-old Ford Fiesta R2 alongside a highly capable co-driver in Ashwin Naik, Ghosh steered clear of troubles that caught his rivals to claim a 12m10.7s win over Emma Falcon.

The RRPM driver ran third after the first leg but moved into the lead when Chrysostomos Karellis and Artur Muradian suffered crashes in quick succession on Saturday.

EasyKart Italy

Ruhaan Alva led the charge for Birel ART India in the fourth round of EasyKart Championship in Italy.

Alva finished eighth in the weekend’s final race, despite damaging his kart in a contact with a rival karter.

Rishon Magehalli jumped from 19th on the grid to finish 10th, while Vivaan Chiripal and Mihir Avalakki were classified 13th and 16th.

Rajiv Sethu and Anish Shetty (Asia Road Racing Championship, Japan)

Honda Racing India riders Rajiv Sethu and Anish Shetty failed to score points in the Japan round of Asia Road Racing Championship.

Sethu finished 25th and 24 in the two Asia Production 250cc races at the legendary Suzuka Circuit, while Shetty also managed the same results - but in the reverse order.
