ANTIGONISH, N.S., Canada -- Scott Steckly set the track record in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 qualifying at Riverside International Speedway for Saturday's Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment.
Steckly went out last in the qualifying order and put down a lap of 14.484 seconds (82.767 mph). He broke the record of 14.883 set by Peter Gibbons in September of 2007. It was Steckly's first pole of the season and third of his career.

Anthony Simone qualified sixth, with Kerry Micks, Don Thomson Jr., Jason Hathaway and Ron Beauchamp Jr. completing the top 10.
